The Galapagos fur seal is one of the smallest subspecies of eared seals. This fur seal lives on the rocky coasts of the Galapagos Archipelago, where they can find caves. These seals diet consist of several kinds of fish and inkfish. They hunt their prey at night at the depth of 10 to 50 meters below the surface.
This seals' natural predator are the wild dogs on the islands. The Galapagos fur seal has been hunted, but now is protected by Ecuadorian law.
