There is a nodding acquaintance about this species of eared seals. Therefore the Australian sea lion is a protected species. Main ingredients of this sea lions' daily meal are whiting, salmon, shark and penguin.
The Australian sea lion lives on isolated islands. The colony of Australian sea lions on Kangaroo Island has become a touristic attraction. The animals are carefully protected and do not seem to be disturbed of human attendance.
